INTERVIEW:

What environmental project will you create to promote the protection of Mother Earth and why?

In this day and age, the growing population in the world is leaving us without green spaces in the big cities. There are too many buildings, so my proposition is the creation of green roofs.

What makes you proud of the country you are representing, and what can you promote about your country?

I am proud of our amazing culture, our exquisite gastronomy, and our Mayan cultural heritage: one of the biggest and most majestic civilizations in the history. Mexico also has incredible natural beauties. We are privileged because we have amazing beaches, mountains, forests, jungles, deserts, a lot of biodiversity, endemic animals, etc. And of course, most importantly, I am proud of our warm people who are always willing to help others, and who in the hardest times show what they are made of, and make it through no matter what.

Describe your childhood/growing years.

My childhood was a very happy time in my life. I grew up with my brother and all my cousins, so we always played together. My parents took us to all kinds of classes, like karate, taekwondo, volleyball, painting, english, speed reading lessons, swimming lessons, etc.

What lessons did you learn from your childhood/growing years? ?

My parents always told us that all our actions have consequences that we must face.

I also learned that you have to treat others the way you like to be treated. Everyone has the same rights and you should never act like you are better than others. Lastly, I learned that we can always count on our family and that they will always support us no matter what.

What is your environmental advocacy?

Create green roofs, take advantage of the spaces and turn grey cities into green cities to decrease the amount of carbon dioxide and suspended particles.
