MISS JAMAICA INTERNATIONAL 2010 - Lesa-gayle Wee Tom


FT. LAUDERDALE – After a long hiatus Jamaica has selected 21 year old Lesa-gayle Wee Tom to represent the island’s at the 50th anniversary of the Miss International Beauty contest to be held at Sichuan Province Gymnasium in Chengdu, China on November 7, 2010.

More than 60 contestants from various countries and territories will compete for the title in November 2010, where Miss International 2009, Anagabriela Espinoza from Mexico will crown her successor at the end of the event.

Miss Wee Tom's selection was done at the executive level, after several potential candidates were screened using the international pageant judging criteria which includes overall appearance, beauty of the face, swimsuit fitness, poise and elegance, personality, environmental awareness and intelligence.

Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Lesa-gayle started participating in the Jamaica Carnival by age four; and the opportunity ignited a modeling career. By the age of five, she had already mastered the art of performing and modeling in front of mass audiences. She’s been featured in numerous print campaigns and photo shoots; and has even been photographed by renowned celebrity photographer, Derek Blanks.

Nonetheless, she eagerly aspires to further expand her qualifications and is currently enrolled as a national honor-roll student on a Barita Scholarship at Florida Atlantic University where she is pursuing a major in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in tourism/hospitality management. This ambitious beauty also speaks fluent Spanish. Her five-year plan is to gain her degree, host her own television show and chair her own charity organization. She also aspires to pursue fashion design and launch a clothing line.

MISS MONGOLIA INTERNATIONAL 2010 - B. Badamtsetseg

ULAANBAATAR, Sep. 12 - Winners of the country’s biggest beauty pageant were announced before a select gathering in Ulaanbaatar on Sunday, where the coveted title of Miss Mongolia-2010 went to local 17-year old girl B. Badamtsetseg.

The “Miss Mongolia” Association and “Shilmel Zagvar” Agency organized a seventh annual beauty contest called “Miss Mongolia-2010” in the State Academic Drama Theater in UB on September 12, 2010.

Judges had chosen 21 of the original over 200 gorgeous competitors for the title in the final evening. The winner Badamtsetseg, who is well-liked by a role of Gerlee in the Mongolian serial movie called “Khetsuu Angi” or “Difficult Class”, awarded with cash prize of MNT2 million. Then, she will compete for Mongolia in the “Miss International” beauty contest, which will be held in Shanghai.

Another participant T.Battsetseg took second place in the beauty competition entitled “Miss Mongolia-2010” also.

G.Lkhagvasuren honored “Miss Model” crown, B.Monkhzul was grabbed crown of “Miss Photo”, T.Tuyamaa rewarded also crown “Miss Talent” and B.Borgoljin received crown of “Miss Knowledge” separately.

Then, these runners-up will compete also for Mongolia in beauty competitions entitled “Miss intercontinental”, “Asian super model”, “Miss Tourism Queen-International”, and “Miss Global City-International” soon.

As well as, E.Altanzul was selected a winner of “Aero Mongolia Miss” and rewarded by the prize named after sponsor.

MISS BAHAMAS INTERNATIONAL 2010 - Carlrita Robinson

2010 MISS INTERNATIONAL BAHAMAS – A lover of Modern Art through the world of dance, 19 year of Carlrita Robinson has represented the Bahamas on many international stages performing as an accomplished dancer. A student of the Success Training College, she desires to own and operate a luxury Salon and Spa. She is keen on passing on her talent of dance to others, as she sees this as the greatest avenue of self-expression where you are the master of yourself. She will represent the Bahamas at the Miss International Pageant in Ho Chi Minh later this year.

MISS GUADELOUPE INTERNATIONAL 2010 - Ericka Aly


20-year old Ericka Aly, a secretary from Petit Bourg, was crowned Miss International Guadeloupe 2010 during at event held at the Karibea Salako Beach resort in Gosier. Ericka, who stands 1.76 m in height, will represent Guadeloupe at the 60th Miss World pageant to be held in Sanya, China, October 30th.

The 1st runner-up was Amandine Coowar, who will travel to Chengdu, China, to compete in the 50th anniversary of the Miss International contest, in November.

Chosen as the 2nd runner-up was Venise Taret, who will compete at the Miss Earth 2010 pageant to take place in Nha Trang, Vietnam, December 4th.

MISS CHILE INTERNATIONAL 2010 - Tanya del Solar Prussing


Tanya del Solar Prussing has been elected Miss Chile International 2010. This 24-year-old Law student from Santiago will represent her country in the Miss International pageant, in China, in October. The last time Chile was represented in Miss International was in 2007.

MISS PERU INTERNATIONAL 2010

The Miss Perú Internacional 2010 finals was held at the Salón de los Espejos in Lima. Winner was Laura Spoya Solano, representing Lima. She will represent Peru in the Miss International 2010 finals in Chengdu, China this October.

MISS FERNANDO DE NORONHA 2010


The paradise archipelago of Fernando de Noronha, Brazil, has a new beauty queen, and she is Isabelle Sampaio, 22 years old, 1.74 m-tall. She competed with 7 other finalists during the traditional Artists Ball of Recife.

The winner will compete in Miss World Brazil 2010 and Miss Tourism Queen International 2010.

In case she is crowned Miss Brazil 2010, on August 8, at the Frade Hotel, in Angra dos Reis, the first runner-up, Éricka Mello, will go to China to represent Noronha in Miss Tourism Queen.

The 2nd runner-up was Wanessa Mattos.

At the same event, Alcir Lima won the title Mister Pernambuco 2010, and will compete in Mister Brazil 2010, on March 4, in Sao Paulo.

MISS ATLANTIC INTERNATIONAL 2010 - Jéssica Guillén(Miss Venezuela)



Punta del Este - Jéssica Guillén, 24, Miss Venezuela, was recently crowned Miss Atlantic International 2010 in an event held in Punta Del Este, Uruguay. Jéssica participated in Miss Venezuela 2010 and was a top 5 finalist.

Her first runner-up was Miss Argentina, Mariana Palleiro, 19, who also won the best national costume award. Third place went to Miss Cuba, Lisandra Silva, 22. Sixteen contestants competed for the title.

MISS INTERNATIONAL UNITED KINGDOM - Katharine Brown

Miss Scotland 2009, Katharine Brown, who competed in Miss World last December, was named Miss United Kingdom 2010, and will represent the UK in Miss International 2010, later this year, in China.

She edged out Misses Wales, England and Northern Ireland 2009.

Miss UK 2009, Chloe-Beth Morgan from Wales, finished as 2nd runner-up in Miss International 2009.
