Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul, BRAZIL - The first edition of the Miss Global Teen contest will take be hosted by the state of Mato Grosso do Sul and the city of Campo Grande, Brazil, from June 28 to July 4. The grand finale will happen on July 3, at the beautiful Campo Grande's Rubens Gil de Camilo Convention Center.
Located in the heart of South America, Mato Grosso do Sul offers a variety of landscapes and activities for its visitors. The world famous Pantanal is home to thousands of animal species living harmoniously in the middle of an exuberant flora, magically distributed on a surface of over 230.000 square kilometers.
The contestants will also experience the magic of Bonito (photo, left), where eco tourism activities are related to its stunning natural attractions, such as river springs with crystalline waters perfect for diving, beautiful waterfalls, caves, forests and a great diversity of fauna and flora.
Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul's capital, nicknamed Cidade Morena ("Brown City" in Portuguese) after the reddish-brown color of the region's soil, is a vibrant city with a population of nearly 800,000 people. It will be the venue for the I Miss Global Teen grand finale, which will happen at the city's modern Rubens Gil de Camilo Convention Center, with a 2,000-people capacity (photo, right).
"Our idea is to produce a world-class teen event", explains Christian Kuntz, one of the producers of the first Miss Global Teen.
"We want to find national representatives engaged in volunteer work in their countries. The winner should be someone able to inspire and serve as a role model to teenagers and kids everywhere", said the P.R. for the pageant Sidney Kuntz.
