BIOGRAPHY:

19 year old Carolyn Whitney Carter-Heller was crowned Miss US Virgin Islands 2010 or locally known as Miss U.S. Paradise 2010. She will represent the American Virgin Islands in Miss World 2010 beauty pageant in Sanya, People's Republic of China on October 30.

Carolyn is studying a joint major at University in Art History and Visual Arts which will lead to a career in Interior Design. Carolyn enjoys Cooking, Painting, Photography, Travelling and Swimming. Personal Motto: ‘The fire burns within’.

Favourite Music / Books ?
My favourite music to dance to is reggae and dancehall, but my favourite music to paint to is R&B. My favourite book is 'My Sister's Keeper' by Jodi Picoult.
What is the proudest moment of your life or most memorable day?
The most memorable day of my life was when I was accepted into Emory University, a top 20 nationally ranked University.
Describe yourself
I am a confident, well grounded woman, who grew up in a diverse community. I have been graced with intelligence, talent and beauty; but I have been blessed with opportunities and support to cultivate these characteristics so that I can inspire others both locally and globally to persue their dreams.
Favourite food ?
I absolutely love Indian food. My favourite dish is roti canai and my favourite drink is mango lasse.
Future ambitions ?
I want to fuse my talent for art and design with my passion for children and education.
Special Talents ?
I have a special passion for children and education. I love to spend time with kids and have a real joy for teaching.
