MISS BRAZIL WORLD 2010 - Kamilla Salgado

Kamilla Salgado (23, 1.72m, Belém), the representative from the state of Pará, was crowned Miss Mundo Brasil 2010 -the Miss Brasil Oficial for the world's greatest beauty contest- at the Hotel do Frade in Agra dos Reis. She will represent Brazil in Miss World 2010 in Sanya, People's Republic of China on October 30. The first runner-up was Isabelle Sampaio, Miss Fernando de Noronha, and the second runner-up was Suymara Barreto, Miss Rondônia. 37 contestants competed for the title.

Graduating with a Degree in Business Administration, Kamilla is now studying for an MBA and owns her own Jewellery business. She enjoys: Basketball, Dancing, Reading, Economics, Politics & Travelling. Personal Motto: ‘There is not a path to happiness. Happiness is the path!’

What is the proudest moment of your life or most memorable day?
I was when I graduated from college and opened my own business, my first step to becoming independant.
Describe yourself
I am a determined person and I run after my goals. I am always ready to help those in need, I do it with pleasure.
Favourite food ?
Sushi and 'pato no tucupi' a traditional dish from Belem.
Do you have any pets ?
Yes, my dog Lex Luthor.
Future ambitions ?
I want to open a NGO for environment protection in the Amazon.
Special Talents ?
Dancing (ballet, ballroom, samba and modern dance).
Tell us a little something about your Country ?
Brazil is a country with all types of people and landscapes. Belem, my city is a place with a rich Amazonian culture.
Any other interesting facts ?
I'm very proud of my Beauty with a Purpose project. I've raised over $20,000 for a foundation which takes care of poor children in Belem, and I plan on raising much more. We are working hard to do it!
