Episode 51 - JR discovers that Dave is alive
Through the rebels’ clever ruse, they were able to trace where Dave’s family lives in Manila and before he knows it, Elizabeth gets shot right outside their house. Ingrid is so scared that her mom wouldn’t make it when she rushed her to the hospital that night. But as soon as she learned that Elizabeth has survived the accident, Ingrid immediately confronts Marlene and accuses her of attempted murder. Marlene gets fed up with her irrational behavior so she calls the authorities to arrest Ingrid for trespassing and physical injury.
In the meantime, JR is also in shock upon hearing the news that Dave is still alive and is merely being held captive by a group of terrorists. The Armed Forces has already ordered a rescue operation but JR is told not to share the info to anyone in his family just yet until they have verified the reports. With that, he simply begs his mom to refrain from filing a lawsuit against Ingrid, knowing that the shooting incident at the Garcias’ mansion may be related to Dave’s incarceration. As for Audrey, he reiterates how much he loves her but remains at a loss as to how he will deal with what he recently discovered.
But true enough, JR gets a glimpse of Dave himself when a troop of soldiers came to Mindanao to rescue him from the rebels. Does this mean his relationship with Audrey is about to end?
Episode 59 - Ingrid resorts to violence
Ingrid intentionally runs over Rita after she loses her mind upon hearing of the news that Marlene is actually the legal wife of David. As Ingrid quietly spends her time in jail, helpless Rita lies in a hospital under a very critical condition. Marlene consistently stood by her sick mother’s side as she silently sought for revenge. On the other hand, JR misses catching the anonymous fugitives headed by his own brother Ramon. Upon hearing of the condition of his grandmother, he immediately headed home, where Audrey finally tells him that she rejected Dave’s marriage proposal.
Episode 60 - Marlene decides to claim her rights as David’s legal wife
Dave visits Lola Rita at the hospital seeking for her family’s forgiveness. He begs Marlene to let them settle things among themselves, claiming that his mother was not in her right mind at the time of the incident. Elizabeth, too, drops by the hospital to plea for the same cause as Dave, but Marlene’s decision can not be swayed. She stands firm with her decision that she will seek for vengeance, not just by pushing through with the case but also by claiming her rights as the legal wife of David. On the other hand, Audrey changes her mind regarding Dave’s marriage proposal. After being blackmailed by her own father, she is finally pushed to accept Dave’s offer.
