MISS JAMAICA WORLD 2010 - Chantal Alicia Raymond

BIOGRAPHY:

Chantal Alicia Raymond was crowned Miss Jamaica World 2010 at the Finale held August 21st at the Pegasus Hotel, Kingston. She is 24 year old and stands 5’9”. Chantal will represent Jamaica in Miss World 2010 pageant in China later this year. Earlier, Chantal won the Miss Talent Fast track, ranked second in both Miss Model and Miss Sports fast track.

Chantal gained her Degree in Law from Harvard University. She is working as a Lawyer and aspires to be the CEO of an international corporation with roots in the Caribbean. Hobbies: Travelling, Dancing and Exercising. Personal Motto: ‘Look into your heart and you’ll find that the sky is yours’.

Favourite Music / Books ?
I have an eclectic ear, but my absolute favourite type of music is Jamaican Reggae. It symbolizes our heritage and dynamic culture. Its strong beats and pulsating vibes simply explode into a rhythmic revolution.
What is the proudest moment of your life or most memorable day?
My proudest moment was the day I was granted a Professional Doctorate from Harvard University.
Describe yourself
I am a very happy, optimistic individual who believes that life is a precious gift that should be cherished. I also relish and appreciate any positive role I can play in the achievement and success of others.
Favourite food ?
Although I have an indomitable sweet tooth, there is nothing I love more than my father's home cooked meals.
Do you have any pets ?
I have a miniature mixed-breed puppy with gigantic attitude. Princess is an amazing little bundle of energy and opportunity.
Future ambitions ?
To be CEO of an international corporation with roots throughout the Caribbean and Latin America.

Jamaica is a tropical paradise famous for its exquisite beauty. It is home to high mountain peaks overshadowing turquoise waters and miles of white sand beaches. The heart of Jamaica, is our people, beautifully diverse in heritage, and immensely warm, talented and creative.
Any other interesting facts ?
I was president and co-founder of the Harvard Caribbean Law Association. An organisation at Harvard University dedicated to the advancement and well being of Caribbean people.
