INTERVIEW:
I want to become a successful businesswoman and that the benefits and incomes from my business can contribute not only to myself as an achievement, but also to my community.
Describe your childhood when you were growing up from 8 to 13 years old.
I am a lucky girl having grown up in a middle class family with the unconditional love from my parents. We love and respect each other. Growing up as child, I was a dynamic girl and I was keen and always joined most community activities. I realized that I can learn and obtain more knowledge and life experiences from these activities. And when I entered the school, I always tried to learn more real things from my teachers. They shared their books which I remember learning and reading them with all my heart.
What lessons did you learn from your childhood/growing years?
I can remember that I was a little stubborn girl and I sometimes made my mother feel "dizzy". But from that childish character, I learnt to take responsibility for myself and for everybody. When I made some mistake, I did not only excuse myself by saying "sorry" but also thought it over and I would do something positive to get everybody closer to each other after the matter. I learn every day how to be a filial, dutiful girl to my elders and people around me. As I was growing up as an adult, I realized clearly that my family is very important to me.
What is your most memorable moment?
The most memorable moment : when my father was rushed to the hospital for surgery. Unfortunately, my mother could not be at home at that emergency time. I was alone to take care of my father. I was so worried and scared when I was in that situation. I caught myself feeling that the presence of my parents was very important. When I recall the advice from them that I should be stronger and stay calm in any embarrassing situation, all my worries were gone. I keep this in my memory and every time I pass all the difficulties I may encounter. I think about my parents who are always my best teachers!
What is your environmental advocacy?
When I was child, I had my concerns about our environment and natural disasters not only in Vietnam, but also the disasters around the world. There are floods and storms every year in my country. Theses disasters become serious problems when many regions have been deforested. The population is rapidly growing. Although our key occupation is farming, the water resources protection is the key problem as the pollution and drought is rising. Water also occupies more than 70% of our body so it is very important to every body and species in the world.
It is my big concern when people do not have high awareness about the environmental protection. It is necessary to provide a deeper education to everybody on how to protect the water resources.
When you protect it, you protect yourself. Please do as much as you can to preserve the invaluable natural treasure of our Earth Mother.
