Miss Earth 2010, the 10th edition of Miss Earth beauty pageant, will be held in Vinpearl Land, Nha Trang, Vietnam, on December 4th, 2010. The announcement was made in a ceremony at the Legend Saigon Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on January 28, 2010.
More than 90 delegates from various countries and territories will compete for the title in November 2010, where Miss Earth 2009, Larissa Ramos of Brazil will crown her successor at the end of the event that will be broadcast by VTV, ABS CBN and The Filipino Channel. The Miss Earth winner serves as the spokesperson for the Miss Earth Foundation, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and other environmental organizations.
Schedule
The delegates from various countries are expected to arrive in Vietnam on November 4, 2010 to participate in a range of activities covering HCM City, Phan Thiet, Hoi An and Nha Trang. The delegates will attend a press conference and various environmental activities in HCM City from November 4–13. They will also travel to Phan Thiet to join environmental activities and a festival to advertise Vietnam’s sports from November 15–17. In the ancient town of Hoi An, they will compete in Miss Ao Dai, attend the Earth Hour and the Lantern Festival, to call for fuel saving and natural resource protection from November 17–19. The delegates will then go to Nha Trang to do charity works, cycling, street cleaning, meet with the local residents to talk about environmental protection and join various environmental activities, and to prepare for the finale night.
In Ho Chi Minh City: (November 7 - 11)
* Nov. 7: 28 beauties of group 1, 2, 3, 4 will officially join the activities in Vietnam as the first medication dispensing charity, visit the Saigon river, try with "Ao dai" (long shirt).
* Nov. 8: After meeting with the organizers, the contestants will visit the Da Phuoc Waste treatment - Binh Chanh and Trung Nguyen coffee.
* Nov. 9: Miss Talent - In the day, those participating in the Miss Talent will begin practicing. At 6pm (GMT +7) on the same day, they will enter the finale pretty talented person.
* Nov. 10: Press Presentation - all beauty queen will attend the first official press conference at the White Palace (City) and participate in charity towards fellow Central. A nice group of people will participate in the auction the gifts they bring to Vietnam to raise funds for charity.
* Nov. 11: Gala Dinner at 6pm will be broadcasted LIVE on VTV3 and HTV7 (Ho Chi Minh City Television).
In Central Vietnam : (November 12 - December 4)
* Nov. 12: beauties will be available in full at the City began the journey of the province, and Phan Thiet (Binh Thuan) is the first destination. There, they engaged in environmental protection; attend the Golf Business Review, evening welcome party candidates.
* Nov. 13: National Costume Competition - At 9am, 90 contestants rehearse for the national competition costumes and compete on the same day at 6.30pm, and then listen to public address through the Image Beauty, Beauty and auction Friendly items
* Nov. 17: Miss Aodai and Best in evening gown will be held in Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa.
* Nov. 20: Best in swimsuit will be held in Phu Yen.
* Dec. 4: Final night - At 8pm (GMT +7), Miss Earth 2010 final night will be held in Vinpearl, Nha Trang. Broadcasting LIVE on VTV1 and VTV4, ABS-CBN, The Filipino Channel (Philippines), Star World (USA).
