Astro Battleground Preliminary 2 - Astro 《舞极限》选拔赛（二）
The competition is getting to be more exciting right after Preliminary 1. Amongst the interesting acts that we shall be in awe over this week in Preliminary 2 will be the retro costumes with theatrical acts and ‘cross-dressing’ performances. With their retro appearance and humorous dance moves during the first preliminary, Katoon Network was said to be ‘best in-show’ while there was an interesting round of battle between the bottom two teams in order to remain in the championship.
With ‘Signature Dance’ as this week’s theme, teams have to showcase their talent and individuality and uniqueness through their dance routines. This week’s 8 participating teams consist of Dancologist, M.J.C, Haru Haru, Twister XF, Katoon Network, Famous Strike, FREE and Wakaka Fever.
Marcus could only use HOT to describe Dancologist’s sizzling hot performance and also commented that what they had presented was a 100% female Hip Hop dance routine. On top of that, Bobby said that their performance was very intensifying and that it was performed professionally. As for M.J.C, a trio formed by 2 men and a lady, Misato, who hails all the way from Japan. Despite being the oldest contestant at 38 years old, we can see that Misato is still as energetic and youthful, just like her compatriots who are much younger.
Haru Haru created history as they were Battleground’s first ever all-girl duo. Apart from that, Haru Haru’s dance instructor is none other than, Misato, one third of M.J.C! Although improvements could be seen this time round but Rambo felt that they need to have more eye contact while performing. Formed by 6 boys, Twister XF had Rambo feeling ‘painful’ while they performed. This was due to the extreme stunning stunts that they carried out during their performance. Marcus praised them for putting on such an‘incredible show’ as their performance was seen as intensifying and immaculately synchronized.
As for Katoon Network, they made a loud statement through their ‘afro’ hairdo and through their 80’s retro outfits. The judges felt that their performance was very entertaining and on top of that, it was a very professional show. Performing with a military theme, Famous Strike did not deliver a proper storyline in their dance routine. Rambo suggested that they include more ‘fighting’ elements in their routine. However, he said that they have managed to carry out the basic street dance steps.
FREE is made up from teenagers with an average age of 18 and below. Bobby loved their performance while Marcus felt that it was a good show but they need to brush up their moves and make it neater. All-Malay team, Wakaka Fever stunned the audience through their ‘cross-dressing’ performance, complete with mini skirts and make up. Marcus praised the teamwork among the team members. As for Rambo, he felt that they were very creative and even jokingly said that, ‘who said that you can’t break in skirts!’.
Contestants will be brought back to reality when elimination is on. Which group will be eliminated? Who will gain victory in the Battle segment? In this round of competition, we will see instructors and students battling out on the same stage in order to be in the running to be the champion. 续《舞极限》选拔赛（一）之后，比赛状况越来越激烈。来到这个星期第二场的选拔赛，参赛者绝对是“舞力”全开，当中更有参赛队伍复古装扮搞笑演出之余，更有女扮男装还身穿迷你裙呢！以复古服装搭配幽默、搞笑和有趣舞蹈表演的Katoon Network是当中最佳的组合。
本星期选拔赛主題同样是“招牌舞”，参赛队伍必须把属于自己的強项和最能够代表他们组别个性风格的舞蹈呈现出来。同样的在选拔赛（二）也有8个组合，他们是 Dancologist、M.J.C.、Haru Haru、Twister XF、Katoon Network、Famous Strike、FREE和Wakaka Fever。
对于Dancologist的表演，Marcus老师用了 “Hot！Hot！Hot！”来形容他们，也赞赏她们呈现出100巴仙的女生Hip Hop。Bobby老师则说“表演很紧凑；很好；很Pro（专业）。 ” M.J.C二男再加上一个来自日本，年龄最高（38岁），但舞蹈绝对不输年轻人的Misato。
唯一也是在《舞极限》史上中由两个女生组合而成的Haru Haru，他们的舞蹈老师更是M.J.C.队伍的Misato呢！Haru Haru的表演虽有比之前来的较好，但是蓝波老师坦言两人的表演少了眼神的交际。由六个男生组成的Twister XF让蓝波老师觉得很痛，是因为Twister XF在舞蹈过程中不断上演“抛人”的舞蹈动作。另外，他们紧凑、有默契的表演让Marcus老师赞说“Incredible Show”呢！
选拔赛（二）表现最好的Katoon Network头顶着大顶的爆炸假发，身穿80年代复古服装的表演让全场暴动，而评审都一致认为他们的表演有娱乐效果之余，也是很有水准的表演。以军装登场的Famous Strike所呈现的故事内容不太理想，蓝波老师建议加入更多“作战”的元素。不过，街舞当中的基本动作他们都掌握得不错。
平均年龄不到18岁的FREE感性演出，Bobby老师表示非常喜欢，而Marcus 老师虽认为表现基本上不错，但在动作方面要更加整齐一致。全巫裔同胞的Wakaka Fever反串以女生造型登场，把现场气氛推向高潮。团员们之间的默契和合作度非常强，被Marcus老师称赞。蓝波老师表示他们很有创意，更搞笑的说 “谁说穿裙子不能够Breaking”，逗得现场笑声连连。
在选拔赛（二）中，同样的有两组队伍将会面对被淘汰的残酷现实。当中哪个组合表现最差直接被淘汰？师生同台比赛，各自命运又是如何？想知道在选拔赛（二）谁去谁留，就要留守Astro华丽台（第311频道）在11月7日，星期六傍晚7时播出的《舞极限》。
